Isis

Isis has worked in the health and fitness industry for 17 years, as a manager, personal trainer and aerobics instructor. Motivational speaking and coaching has played a major part in her fitness career, shaping her perspective on her methods of teaching, which emphasize the personal growth as well as the technical skill of each student. Having spent a good portion of her youth receiving instruction and performing in piano, vocals and various wind instruments, Isis developed a keen ear for music and rhythm. Seven years ago, she found her way to the Middle Eastern dance community. She has continued to grow and expand her repertoire. Isis has had the privilege of learning from some of the best teachers in the business to include Raqia Hassan, Yousry Sharif, Suzanna DelVecchio, Horacio Cifluentes as well as many others.

Isis is often invited as a guest performer at belly dance shows around the U.S.. She has studied many different styles of Middle Eastern dance, including Turkish, American Nightclub, Egyptian, Lebanese, Folkloric, and American Tribal. Isis teaches beginning, continuing and performance classes, bellydance aerobics and private lessons. She is the Director and Choreographer of two local dance troupes, Shazadi and Gypsies of the Nile, and she has also co-directed the Bellydance Unveiled production which ran for three years in a row.
